Honours psychology graduate and founder of Welv, with a 10 year+ music business. I help students lean into their passions, explore non-traditional career paths, and turn ideas into action. I’ve raised $28,000 in grant funding through pitch and design competitions for my startup.

I’m a Psychology graduate and qualitative researcher, and the founder of Welv. My background spans research, design, the music industry, and politics - including working in NSW Parliament - which has given me a broad view of both conventional and unconventional career paths. I’ve always been drawn to building things from the ground up. I’ve pitched at SXSW, won a Good Design Australia Award, and raised $28,000 in grant funding through pitch and design competitions to grow my startup. Along the way, I’ve learned how to test ideas quickly, use AI coding tools to prototype, and turn early concepts into something real. When I speak in schools, I focus on helping students lean into what genuinely interests them - even if it doesn’t fit a clear job title yet. I talk honestly about backing yourself, exploring non-traditional pathways, validating ideas in the real world, and learning how to communicate and pitch them with confidence. My aim is to show students that there isn’t one “right” path, and that with curiosity, initiative, and courage, they can create opportunities that align with who they actually are.

It was a pleasure to have Georgia speak with our students about her journey from school into the world of academia and then the entrepreneurial environment. Georgia is a wonderful communicator. She was able to reveal a story which our students could connect and empathise with, not just to share information. As a successful young woman who has achieved in the academic world and developed her own startup, Georgia was an inspiration, expanding our students’ sense of what is possible while challenging what is left of the glass ceiling.
